Planning BEFORE you arrive in the park is seriously an essential step! Today we are going to focus on 5 essential things to purchase BEFORE arriving at the park.
#1- A Disney themed Backpack
You can use any backpack that you already have in the closet and this would work just fine. However, there is something so Magical about sporting your Disney-themed backpack around at the park. It just puts you in the Disney spirit.
I recommend shooting high and getting a Disney Mini-Loungefly backpack. Not only are they gorgeous they are a perfect size. I promise you will not be disappointed. If you are worried about the size don’t be.
They can easily hold the essential items that you will need for a day at the park! I used to pack way too much and it hurt my back all day. So I promise this size is perfect!
I recommend when you are choosing your Loungefly backpack to choose one that is all about your favorite Disney Character.
If you are coming during a holiday it is also fun to theme it to that Holiday!

So when you are on the Disneyland rides you have to remove your mouse ears right? Because otherwise, they are going to fall off. Then you are going to upset the cast member and then they will have to close the ride just to retrieve your ears. So an ear clip holder is perfect! It holds your ears while you are on the ride. I mean you could just stuff them into your backpack but then you could damage them!

I don’t know about you but standing and walking around Disneyland makes me super thirsty.
One type of water bottle I would recommend is a Collapsible water bottle. They seriously are amazing for Disneyland and they fit nicely on the inside or hand easily on the outside of your backpack.
Disneyland has a water bottle refill station in Fantasyland inside the Red Rose Tavern. Star Wars land has several water bottle refill stations near the bathrooms.
In DCA you can find a water bottle refill station inside Avengers Campus next to the Dr . Strange entrance. This refill station also has cold water!
Aside from the water bottle refill stations, you can also get water at most restaurants & at some food carts that offer soft drinks! Disneyland does not charge for the complimentary water!
On really hot days they will even have water ready and waiting so don’t feel like a nuisance when getting water. They will be ready and waiting for you!
Another option is getting a water bottle keychain that you slip over the top of a plastic water botter/soda. You can purchase these inside the park too and then just refill the plastic bottle all day.
My favorite water bottle that I carry most of the time is my Pink 64 oz TAL brand water bottle. It is so massive my children have given it a name. So I take Daisy with me everywhere.
It is insulated so I fill it with ice to the lid before I leave because I like cold water. Then that way I have ice-cold water all day. I also purchased a water bottle holder that has a long strap to just hang my water bottle over my shoulder.

A BIG-kept secret for all of you out-of-towners. The Target located at 12100 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove CA 92840, literally down the street from the park has a ton of Disney shirts for around $10-$15. They also offer a bunch of great Disney merch for a great price.
2 other great places to get T-shirts at the same price as Target is at Walgreens and CVS. They are located right across the street from each other and are only a block from the park. Walgreen’s exact address is 1802 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim CA 92802.
Another great place to find matching T-Shirts and souvenirs at a great price is at our local Walmart located at 440 N Euclid St, Anaheim CA 92801. I promise you will love the merchandise that is available at these locations. I wish someone had told me before I became a resident.
