Proper Care of Earrings

Our earrings are made with high-quality materials.

All silver hooks come in 925 sterling silver.  All gold hooks come gold plated.  All Athena-In-Wonderland earrings are hypoallergenic.

In order to ensure that your specialty earrings stay looking gorgeous below are a few tips and tricks:

  • Keep them dry.  They can get wet but should be dried ASAP.
  • Shine the sterling silver hooks often with a microfiber cloth. This will bring them back to a beautiful shine.
  • Keep them stored in the bag that they came in.
  • Wipe them off with a damp towel (water only)  after every use.  This will take off any makeup or hair product deposited from use.
  • If vinyl starts to come up from regular wear, place the earring on an ironing board with a double-sided piece of parchment paper covering the earring.  Iron the earring only under the parchment paper with an iron on low heat. Leave the iron on top for no more than 10 seconds at a time. The heat will reseal the vinyl to the faux leather.
